Hot tubbing snowmen

; thought this was hilarious! I saw something similar online and just had to try it.

Everyone loves hot chocolate with whip cream, marshmallows and sprinkles.

So why not make it fun? you will need; a cup of hot chocolate, whip cream, sprinkles (I used snowflake shaped), edible ink and some marshmallows.

Paint on faces like so

Make extra friends and save for later.

To make the foamy hot tub, add whip cream to the hot chocolate sprinkle in the snow flake toppings and then insert the snowmen. Don't they look relaxed?

ahhhhhhhhh *sigh*

Xmas dinner

Joe is leaving for Nashville so we had our Xmas dinner early.

Joe made honey glazed ham, cheesy mashed potatoes and corn.

I made the cupcakes ;)

I had some adorable cupcake liners and picks that I picked up at TJMaxx, They were Nutcracker themed.

We used my old Martha Stewart Holiday plates and table cloth. Gotta love Martha.

I got everything at Kmart about 8 years ago.

Joe also made some sweets. I got him a peppermint bark kit from Michaels today and he loved it

Nick took advantage of the fireplace and roasted marshmellows

Earlier that day we went out with the wagon looking for firewood, why pay for it when its available for free?

We even opened some presents

So, it will be just me and the kids for a week. I have many fun activies planned

cute "sock" cupcakes for gifts

If you are looking for a cute, cheap and creative gift for someone, you just might like this "sock cupcake"

I saw something similar with cupcake liners but I have no idea how people can get a pair of socks to fit in one.

Its the season for coffee, and that gave me an idea. I would try to make a sock cupcake, using those adorable Starbuck cozies and stirrers.

So I went to Walmart, picked out some very cute cozy socks. Then I headed out to Starbucks, bought gift cards and just took some of their cozies and stirrers.

You can either take off all the tags from the socks or leave them on. for this one, I left the tags on.

Roll the socks

and stuff it into the cozie

Stick the stirrer into the cupcake like so

Isn't it cute? its the Starbucks mermaid

wrap it up with a piece of clear wrap. I got my roll at Micheals with a 40% off coupon ;)

Tie it with some ribbon and then punch a whole in the gift card envelope.

Slide the gift card into the ribbon and tie a bow

Tada! a Starbucks sock cupcake with gift card. Now, who wouldn't want one of these?

I made two because I have two sisters

They ate it!

They did, I can't believe it. I helped the kids make a gingerbread house. I had bought the package last year after Christmas because it was on super sale. I figured it would be Ok since we would not think of eating the house. Its meant for display is it not?

Well I was wrong. The day after making the darn thing the kids ate it! I was in my room vacuming my bed after Sophie spilled a whole bag of shreded cheese on it and when I came back into the living room, I found all 3 kids eating away at the house :(

I didn't even get a good picture of the final project. I was so mad I called Joe to tell him how pissed I was and all he did was laugh. I guess its kind of funny now but I was fuming when it happened.

Anyway, here is some of pictures I did get.

Nick's Futurama Birthday Lunch

Yeah, I let my 9 year old watch this show. He actually has been watching it since he was about 3

I thought it would be real cool to have Nick dress just like Fry and have Fry's favorite food like anchovie pizza, slurm and popplers.

Nick's favorite Character, Bender

Haha, it was a great lunch. Happy Birthday Nick

Tapping into my Hubby's childhood

Joe had his birthday while on a business trip, so I decided to give him his presents right before he left. I never know what to get him, so I looked around the Macy's website since I had a $50 gift card. and this is what I came up with

That's right a "Rock em sock Em", Autobot T-shirt and a nice crock pot! He has been asking for a new crock pot since our last one broke during the move. I did give it to him earlier and made him chili and pulled pork.

If you are in your 30's, you know that transformers and rock em sock em's were IT.

Trick or Treat

I loooove Halloween, its my favorite holiday ever.

I took the kids to the park for a Halloween photoshoot

Red Riding hood

Little Witch

Skullzor

hahaha

We did not trick or treat because Joe had to go to work tonight so we just went to the party at our apartment complex, It was really neat, they had a costume contest and Evie got first place in her pirate costume

She kept going up to people and saying she was captain hook but they did not understand her, they though she wanted a "hug" so everyone would give her a hug LOL! so they called her "captain hug" she won a bucket full of candy, toys and and a blu ray movie (Shrek forever after) to bad we don't own a blu ray player. Sophie got a bucket full of candy, toys and a DVD (Nanny Mcphee) Nick got a bucket of candy and toys. There were not alot of kids there so they tried to give everyone a prize.

Well, they also had a pumpkin carving contest that both Nick and I entered. Turns out we were the only ones who entered so we won dinner and movies for two.

And of course, its not Halloween without the classic "Its the great pumpking Charlie Brown"

plus our Papa Murphy's Jack o Lantern Pizza

Happy Halloween
