Our Disney Trip

I love Disneyland! I miss it so much, I use to be an annual pass holder back when Nick was a toddler. We got to go this summer 3x and had a blast

The Tiki Room.

Home of the famous Dole Whip!

Near the Tiki room is a spot where you can meet Jasmine, There's usually no line, people really don't know its there. The restaurant inside seems to be closed as well. I asked a cast member about and they said its now like a picnic area

and the petting zoo. Its usually very vacant. lots of characters roaming around too.

Like the country bears. No line for hugs ;)

Sophie was the only one brave enough to go get some Disney Love. Evie was scared.

Time to go meet the Pixies!

And my most favorite picture ever!

Oh! the Disney Magic, this is at the side of the castle, instead of going through it, turn to the right where the snow white statues and the wishing well is. Not alot of people know this is a character meeting spot and there is hardly a line.

and this is the center of Disneyland. My sister showed me this, its on the ground as soon as you go through the Sleeping Beauty's castle.

but before going in, there's a time capsule buried right under the star point. you can see it here.

Not very crowded this day we went.

The New Cars Land in California Adventure was AMAZING. Looks just like in the movie

The cozy cone motel snack area.

Our favorite place to eat is at Ariel's Grotto.

Its a Character Dining experience. The Disney Princesses come to each table

Everything was edible. Even the Ariel topper

The Ariel ride is really neat too. This was my first time riding it. I found the best time to ride is during the Phineas and Ferb parade. They close off the area around it and hardly anybody goes into the ride. We got to ride over and over again without getting off.

Something I really loved to see was the display of one of my favorite shows costumes. Once Upon a Time

and the book

We did stand in line for about an hour to meet the newest Disney Princess Merida

They also gave archery lessons

We hopped back and forth to the two parks.

Here we are in toon town waiting to meet Mickey. This is his dressing room

On To see Minnie

She wasn't home so we found her in Main Street.

Meeting Characters is so much fun.

This is the snow white statues next to the castle

Aurora was there to meet us. She kept telling the girls  that the castle was where she lived.

At the 3D bugs life show.

Tink flying before the start of the fireworks.

I think this was our last day visiting.

with Duffy, the Disney Cruise mascot I believe.

Dancing with the fireside girls

Next to the Monster Inc. ride is a big party room where they have many Disney Characters to dance with.

Dancing with Cinderella's step sisters, Anastasia and Drucella

Once again next to the castle we met Snow White and the Evil Queen

Then off to the Princess Faire! another tidbit, we attended the last show and stayed after the show. they closed off the entrance and the Princesses came to chat and meet the kids! Not alot of people know this so there was hardly anybody there and lots of one on one interaction with the princesses

Love this picture of Sophie tugging on Snow Whites cape.

while waiting on the Snow White ride look up! the Queen opens and closes the curtains to peek out.

The famous Mickey head ice creams

Can't wait to go again!!!!

Our cross crounty move.

So, we moved in May. packed everything up in pods and had U-haul move all our stuff. A much better way of moving, rather than driving those big scary trucks ourselves like we have done in the past.

We loaded up the family and made it a family vacation.

We stopped at Mount Rushmore

The black hills and stayed in a really cute hotel in the area. It was off season in May so it was near empty and most shoppes were closed.

Haha, Evie posing with the dog food and the towel swan on the bed

We ate so much on our trip,

Got to taste buffalo burgers. One of my favorite dishes was a buffalo salad with Indian bread.

What I found more impressive than Mount Rushmore was the Crazy Horse Monument.

Its not complete but this is what it will look like when its done, estimated finished date is 2024.

The head of Crazy Horse will be 87 feet high; by comparison, the heads of the four U.S. Presidents at Mount Rushmore are each 60 feet high.

"My lands are where my dead lie buried."

was once said by Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior.

The kids favorite stop was the Reptile Garden.

OMGosh! poor chicken. They put this chicken in a box and for a quarter you get to ask her a question. what the quarter does is release food on the yes or no area and that makes the chicken answer your question.

It was a long trip but we made it an adventure. I just love road trips!

Hollywood half marathon

I did it! I ran my second half marathon.

I really did not think I was going to be able to attend this race. I signed up for it months ago and the plan was for the hubby to come with me so he could help me drive ( 8 hours), drop me off and watch the kids.

His work schedule changed and he was not able to come with me. At the last minute, I decided to go alone (well, with 3 kids and a dog)

It all started at Universal Studios Hollywood.

This was the inaugural race so there were lots of bumps on the road.

Getting our package and bib was a nightmare, the traffic was terrible and the wait to get into the hotel parking was long.

There was no bag check race morning

They ran out of water cups in the middle of the race, we had to drink water with our cupped hands, I saw some runners actually go into restaurants for some water

We were suppose to be shuttled to the parking structure after the race, but we were actually made to walk.

Anyway, I still had a good time!

And it starts

Running though the streets of Hollywood

The Hollywood Hill

walk of fame

It was a tough course. Lots of hills! but that just made for a good challange

Goodwill goodies

My home is a mess! I'm currently packing up the place for our cross country move, and there's tons of boxes everywhere. My place just feels so "ugly" I decided it needed some cheering up.

I picked up this adorable wodden bunny for $2 and this pitcher for $1, it has some cracks near the spout, so I got it to be used as a vase

Nothing like some fresh flowers to welcome Spring.

My table, yes, I need more chairs. I'm planning on getting some plain chairs to throw into the mix, but I have not had any luck finding some anywhere. I go to the goodwill daily hoping for find a good set
