Father's Day

We had a really nice Father's Day celebration. We celebrated with all the best dad's out there, My dad, Joe and my brother in Law Andres.

Two Pink Candles

Today Evie turned 2. Two little pink candles topped the top of her cupcake cake, I loved how it matched her Birthday Girl shirt. So cute 



I wonder what she is wishing for?



After cake she took her new toy out for a spin. She loved it! when she opened it she started clapping. So glad that the night before Nicky and I stayed up late putting it all together. I have learned now, to have their presents opened and set up before gifting, its so much easier and they can play with it immediately. The last thing anybody needs is a toddler in tears while they are trying to figure out instructions.

Gotta love her dress! My Momma made it, its so vintage, I added a tutu underneath to give it more oompth and to make it less sheer.. Her birthday is tomorrow but I took her out today for her portraits. She was a busy little girl and would not stand still very long. She's always got me on my toes. I'm making her a cake for her birthday but her party won't be till later on in the month. We are going to celebrate it in California with family.

I adore watching my girls grow up together. One minute they are best friends and the next, rivals. At night I tuck each into their own bed just to find them minutes later crammed into one little toddler bed. They are either laughing and playing or smacking eachother. I have even found bite marks on Evie's little thights that match perfectly to Sophie's bite. Yikes! but for the most part they love having eachother around.

          Today I decided throw them a small tea party, I honestly just wanted a chance to use my new cupcake cups. They are darling. I got got them at Borders. They are silicone cups shaped like tea cups.





They would also be real cute to use in bento lunches

Super cute right? white cake with buttercream frosting and topped with a royal icing flower.





I don't know what it is but my girls don't like cake much. They love frosting though. They just lick the frosting off and leave the rest.

Make your own cake stand

I love cake stands, you can never have to many. I would love to have one in every color. Well now I can! making your own cake stand is pretty easy and cheap. all you need is a bowl, plate and glue.




E-6000 is an easy glue to work with and its only about $3



The plate and bowl are from the Dollar Tree $1 each.


Glue the suckers together and TADA!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Hope all the Mommas out there  enjoyed their day. I, had a wonderful Mother's Day. We went out for Brunch at Cracker Barrel. and then to the gardens.

I made my own cake, It was a chocolate cake filled with vanilla pudding. Then topped with buttercream icing in a rose pattern. You can find instructions at

My awesome gifts from Nick. He made me a card, stationary with a pen and wrote a book about me. The stationary has beautiful watercolor butterflies on it.



I wanted to go to the gardens to take pictures with the kids but they were not having it and poor Joe is terrible with a camera. Almost all the pictures he took were uber blurry. bah!


It seems that Sophie's leg is healed, she keeps walking on it and wants the cast off.




So much for Mother's Day pictures. haha
