TOMBSTONE

We took a trip to "The town to tough to die" Tombstone, Arizona. It was real neat to travel back in time to the Wild West.  We watched a re-enactment of the OK Corral shooting where Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday,Virgil and Morgan Earp fought the Clantons and McLaurys on October 26, 1881. But first, we had to get some grub!

We ate at the Longhorn restaurant, The oldest restaurant in Tombstone, It use to be called the "Bucket of Blood saloon" nice huh? and its where Virgil Earp was shot from the second floor.

I had the pulled pork sandwhich and it was pretty darn good. I laughed at Joe because he ordered the french dip, I for sure thought he would order a big steak or something.

We had a great time!

At home I decided to try my hand at making my own pulled pork sandwhiches.

Not to brag but mine was way better. ;)

5lb pork loin rib roast
1-2 apples
3 cups of rootbeer
2 bottles of honey BBQ sauce
hamburger buns or bread (whatever you have)

place the pork in the slow cooker with 3 cups of rootbeer and sliced apples. simmer on high for about 6 hours. When its falling off the bone and pulling apart, shred it and mix with the two bottles of BBQ sauce.

Sooooo good.
